Atlas was formed in Jersey in 1985, originally as the management consulting division of Reads, Chartered Accountants.

In December 1995 the business was acquired by the management and renamed under the Atlas brand. The Guernsey office was opened in August 1997, and the Gibraltar office in May 2007.

Having become increasingly focussed on recruitment for online gaming businesses, the Atlas Gibraltar office was taken over by the local management in January 2009.
